Als je op zoek bent naar een patroon voor een super mooi jeansvestje, met goede, uitgebreide instructies, dan mag je stoppen met zoeken want ik heb het voor je gevonden 😉.  

Het Atenas jacket van Itch To Stitch is echt een must have in je patronencollectie (en in je kast)!

 Het is een klassiek jeansvest.  Het kan bijna niet tijdlozer, het is zo'n kledingstuk dat je jaren draagt en dat nooit uit de mode geraakt.

It's a classic denim jacket. You can’t get more timeless than that. It means once you make the Atenas, you will wear the jacket for years and it will not go out of style.

Het Atenas jacket heeft al de prachtige details van een echt jeansvest.  Door het toevoegen of weglaten van die details maak je het patroon moeilijker of juist makkelijker om te naaien.

Het borstzakje met het flapje kan je bijvoorbeeld echt als zakje maken, of nep, of juist helemaal weglaten.  Zien jullie wat ik koos?  Ik maakte het nep zakje, geen mens die het kan onderscheiden van het echte 😏.

Ik koos er wel voor om echte paspelzakken toe te voegen aan mijn jasje, niet de makkelijkste techniek maar met de goede instructies van het patroon is het zeker haalbaar.

De naden van mijn vest heb ik overal met een dubbel siersteeksel vastgenaaid, een klusje dat zorgt voor een mooie afwerking.

Welke opties je ook kiest, de instructies loodsen je vlot door al de verschillende stappen die je moet nemen.

The Atenas jacket has all the beautiful details of a real jeans jacket. By adding or leaving out the details, you make the pattern more difficult or easier to sew.
For example, you can make the breast pocket with the flap as a real pocket, or fake, or omit the pocket altogether. 

Do you see what I chose? I made the fake pocket, not a person who can distinguish it 

from the real version 😏.
I chose to add real single-welt pockets to my jacket, not the easiest technique but with the instructions of the pattern it is certainly achievable.
I used flat-felled seams and topstitching on the whole pattern , a job that provides a nice finish.

whatever options you choose, the instructions will guide you perfectly through all the steps.

- Er zijn opties voor een A, B, C, D en DD cup

- Vooraan is er een dubbele prinsesbelijning

- Je kan kiezen voor borstzakjes met een flap, valse borstzakjes of je kan ze simpel weglaten

- Je kan kiezen om paspelzakken toe te voegen

- Er kunnen flapjes met knopen aan de tailleband gezet worden (ik liet deze weg)

- Het patroon kan geprint worden in lagen, je kan dus enkel de maat die je nodig hebt afprinten
