A flowing wrapskirt ...

Naaien jullie veel met viscose tricot?   

Tot voor kort kende ik deze kwaliteit niet zo goed.  Ik naaide veel vaker met katoen tricot. 

Bij De Stoffengallerij hebben ze echt mooie viscose tricot dus moest ik deze kwaliteit toch eens testen.  Ik koos voor de Poppies viscose met rek van Swafing.

Do you sew a lot with viscose jersey?
Until recently I didn't know this quality very well. I sewed with cotton jersey most of the time.
At De Stoffengallerij they have really nice viscose jersey so I had to test this quality. I chose the  Poppies viscose with stretch from Swafing.

 

Het voordeel van viscose tricot is dat het veel soepeler valt dan katoen tricot.  Verder draagt het ook koeler, ideaal dus voor de zomer die eraan komt! 

The advantage of viscose jersey is that it is much smoother than cotton jersey. Furthermore, it also feels cooler to wear, so ideal for the summer to come!

Oorspronkelijk wilde ik van deze stof een jurk naaien.  Maar het leek me uiteindelijk leuker en veelzijdiger om een rok en top te naaien, zo kan ik de 2 stuks samen of juist met andere kledingstukken combineren.

Het patroontje dat ik gebruikt heb om de wikkelrok te naaien is de Follow me skirt and dress 

van Pattern Emporium.  Zoals de titel van het patroon al aangeeft kan je er zowel een rok als een jurk mee maken.

Ook de top is er eentje van dezelfde designer.  Het is de True Romance bishop sleeve top

 maar dan zonder de bishop sleeves.

 Originally I wanted to sew a dress from this fabric. But in the end it seemed more fun and versatile to sew a skirt and top, so I can combine the 2 pieces together or with other garments.
The pattern I used to sew the wrap skirt is the
Follow me skirt and dress from Pattern Emporium. As the title of the pattern indicates, you can make both a skirt and a dress.
The top is also one of the same designer. It is the
True Romance bishop sleeve top but without the bishop sleeves.
2 great patterns, ideal for sewing with the smooth viscose tricot.

  

Ik heb bovendien de wikkelrok getest.  Ook met een windvlaag blijf je zedig bedekt.  Niet totaal onbelangrijk ;-).

  I also tested the wrapskirt. Even with a gust of wind you remain modestly covered. Not entirely unimportant ;-).
