Nothing but love for the Montana shirt from ITS

Een nieuw hemd stond al een tijdje op mijn "to-do" lijstje, en eigenlijk

was ik van plan om het Mila shirt te naaien.

Dat plan schoof ik even opzij toen Kennis Wong van Itch To Stitch haar nieuwe patroon aankondigde:

het Montana shirt.

A new shirt had been on my "to-do" list for a while, and actually

I was planning to sew the Mila shirt.

I puted that plan aside when Kennis Wong from Itch To Stitch announced her new pattern:

the Montana shirt.

Het Montana shirt is een klassiek, tijdloos hemd met lichtjes afhangende schouders. De pasvorm is relaxt en dus perfect om als een extra laagje te dragen.

Het patroon is ontworpen voor een niet rekbare stof, zoals katoen, zijde, flannel, ...

Ikzelf gebruikte een lichte chambray.

The Montana shirt is a classic, dropped-shoulder, button-up shirt that will withstand the test of time. With a relaxed fit, the Montana is perfect for layering.

The pattern is designed for woven fabric, such as cotton, silk, flannel, ...

I used a lightweight chambray.

Het Montana shirt heeft verschillende pluspunten/opties:

- het biedt afzonderlijke cupmaten (A-B-C-D-DD).

- je hebt de keuze om een gestrikt of een klassiek voorpand te maken.

- het patroon is voorzien van "platte naden", je hebt dus geen overlock nodig en je hemd is ook langs de binnenzijde onberispelijk afgewerkt.

The Montana shirt has several possitive points/options:
- it offers separate cup sizes (A-B-C-D-DD).
- you have the choice to make a tie-front or a classic front.
- the pattern is provided with "flat-fell"seams, so you do not need an overlock and your shirt is also flawlessly finished on the inside.

De achterzijde van het shirt heeft 2 mooie plooien

(en bij mij heel wat kreuken, met dank aan mijn ritje in de auto 😞).

Als sluiting gebruikte ik witte drukknopen van Prym om het hemd de look te geven van een klassiek jeanshemd. Het is natuurlijk ook perfect mogelijk om gewone knopen te gebruiken.

Ik hoop dat jullie de Montana ook een keertje testen. Het patroon is zeker de moeite waard!

The back of the shirt has two nice pleats

(and with me a lot of wrinkles, thanks to my ride in the car 😞).
As closure I used Prym white push buttons to give the shirt the look of a classic jeans shirt.

Of course it is also perfectly possible to use normal buttons.
I hope you will give the Montana a try. The pattern is definitely worth it!

All about outerwear ...

In de nieuwe blogtour van Winter Wear Designs draait alles om bovenkleding,

met andere woorden, om jassen.
