Het nieuwe patroon van
Itch to Stitch is een prachtig, omkeerbaar Bomber jacket:
De
Causeway Bomber kan genaaid worden in een heel scala van niet rekbare stoffen. Ik moest natuurlijk weer een beetje rebels doen want mijn stof rekt wel lichtjes, ook dat komt dus goed 😉.
The Causeway Bomber can be sewn in a variety of non-stretch fabrics. Of course I had to be a bit rebellious because my fabric does stretch slightly, so that will also be fine 😉. Zoals ik reeds vertelde is de vest volledig omkeerbaar, de binnenkant en de buitenkant zijn hetzelfde. Ik koos er echter voor om dit niet te doen en dus geen zakken aan de binnenkant te maken. Ik weet uit ervaring dat ik mijn vest toch maar langs één zijde zal dragen.
As I already mentioned, the vest is fully reversible, the inside and the outside are the same. However, I chose not to do this and therefore I didn't make pockets on the inside. I know from experience that I will only wear my vest on one side.
De zakken zitten verscholen in de prachtige prinsessenbelijning van het vest. Deze belijning, en de cupmaten die voorzien zijn in het patroon, zorgen voor voor een perfecte pasvorm.
Voor de boorden en het kraagje gebruikte ik een breed geripte, voorgevormde boordstof uit de "cuff me" collectie. Dit zorgde wel voor wat extra denkwerk aan de heupboord omdat ik deze natuurlijk anders moest aanzetten.
The pockets are hidden in the beautiful princess seams of the bomber. These lines, and the cup sizes provided in the pattern, ensure a perfect fit.
For the cuffs and collar I used a wide ribbed, pre-shaped cuff fabric from the "cuff me" collection.
