Nothing but love for the Lyric!

Een peplum blouse om te dragen op mijn kokerrok, dat zat al een tijdje in mijn hoofd.  Zo'n katoenen exemplaar leek me wel leuk voor de komende zomermaanden.

Love Notions bracht net op tijd de  Lyric uit.

De opties van dit patroon zijn eindeloos!  Drie lengtes: midi, tot aan je knie en peplum.  Kies je voor de midi of de knielengte dan kan je opteren voor een A-lijn rok of een gerimpelde rok, met of zonder zakken.

The options of this pattern are endless! Three lengths: midi, knee length and peplum. If you choose midi or knee length then you can opt for an A-line skirt or a gathered skirt, with or without pockets.

Wat ik bovendien ook super vind aan de Lyric zijn de 5 (?!) verschillende mouwen.  Mijn oog viel onmiddellijk op de vlindermouwtjes.

What I also love about the Lyric are the 5 (?!) different sleeves. My eye immediately fell on the flutter sleeves.

Het mooie, luchtige stofje kocht ik bij Modestofjes in Sint-Niklaas.  De bloemenprint geeft me onmiddellijk een zomers gevoel.

I bought this beautiful fabric at Modestofjes in Sint-Niklaas. The floral print immediately gives me a summer feeling.

Maar ik geef eerlijk toe, als alledaagse outfit om bv te gaan werken, zijn ze niet altijd even praktisch.  

Een tof T-shirt is daarvoor dan weer wel heel geschikt.

is ideaal, het bied de voordelen van een gewoon T-shirt, maar het heeft toch weer iets speciaals door het leuke schouderdetail. 

I like to make dresses ... many dresses ...
But I honestly admit, as an everyday outfit to work for example, they are not always practical.
A great T-shirt is very suitable for this. 

The Lucky girl pattern from Ellie and Mac is ideal, it offers the advantages of an ordinary T-shirt, but it has something special because of the nice shoulder detail.

 

 Het patroon biedt heel wat opties!  Allereerst zijn er de 2 mouwopties: je kan kiezen tussen de mouw met boord (zoals de mijne) of de mouw met strik.

Verder heb je ook een aantal keuzemogelijkheden wat betreft de lengte van je Lucky girl: shirtlengte, tunieklengte of jurklengte, telkens met of zonder tailleboord.

The pattern offers a lot of options! First of all there are the 2 sleeve options: you can choose between the tie sleeve or the banded sleeve (like mine).
You also have a number of choices regarding the length of your Lucky girl: shirt length, tunic length or dress length, each with or without a band.

 De Mirri Wrap Dress is een aansluitende "valse" wikkeljurk met een klassieke sjaalkraag.  De V-halslijn is aansluitend en blijft netjes op zijn plaats bij het voorover buigen. De rok is aansluitend boven de heupen en uitlopend naar de zoom toe.

 The Mirri Wrap Dress is a body-hugging "faux" wrap dress with a classic shawl collar. The V-neckline stays neatly in place when you bend over. 

The skirt is fitted above the hips and flared  towards the hem.

Verder zijn de mouwtjes aangeknipt en zijn er plooitjes in het voorpand.  

De rok is beschikbaar in 4 lengtes: van peplum tot maxi.
