Sinclair Penny leggings

Ik speelde al een tijdje met het idee om een aansluitende jeans te maken met onderaan een omgeplooid deel zodat de lichtere binnenkant van de broek een eycatcher zou worden.  Mijn perfectionistische zelf had nog wel wat problemen met het feit dat je dan ook de naad van de binnenzijde van de broek zou zien.  Ik schoof dit idee dan ook op de lange baan.  For a while I played with the idea to make a pair of jeans with a folded part at the bottom so that the lighter inside of the trousers would become an eyecatcher.  My perfectionistic side had some problems with the fact that you would also see the seam at the inside of the pants.  I therefore pushed this idea into the long run.  Until Oxana from Sinclair Patterns announced the new test 
of the Penny leggings ...

 

Normaal ben ik niet zo'n fan van leggings maar nu klopte het plaatje onmiddelijk.  

In mijn kast wachtte nog een perfecte donkerblauwe lap jersey jeans van Lillestoff op het ideale project.  Het leuke aan deze tricot is dat je deze perfect langs beide kanten kan gebruiken.  De buitenkant is donkerblauw en de binnenkant lichtblauw, net zoals bij echte jeans.  Ideaal dus voor een "nep jeans" met cuffs, zonder zichtbare binnenbeen naden!

I found the perfect dark blue jersey jeans from Lillestoff in my stash awaiting for the ideal project. The nice thing about this jersey is that you can use it perfectly on both sides. The exterior is dark blue and the inside light blue, just like real jeans. Ideal for a "fake jeans" with cuffs, without visible inner leg seams!

 

Ik vroeg Oxana of ze zich kon vinden in het idee dat ik cuffs aan haar Penny Leggings zou toevoegen en ze vond het geen enkel probleem.

Ik ben zelf helemaal weg van mijn Penny leggings en van de stof.  De combinatie tussen de twee is 

"a match made in heaven 💖".

 I asked Oxana if she could agree with the idea that I would add cuffs to her Penny Leggings and she didn't found it a problem.
I completely love my Penny leggings and the fabric. The combination between the two is 

"a match made in heaven 💖".
