The Clara wrap top stole my heart!

Ken je dat met wikkeltopjes?   

Ze staan vaak een beetje open.  Ik vind dat niet leuk want het geeft mij een onrustig gevoel.  Ik heb dan voortdurend de neiging om aan mijn top te trekken.

 Do you know the problem with wrap tops?
They are often slightly open in the front. I don't like that because it makes me feel restless. I constantly tend to pull my top in place.

 De Clara Wrap top van Greenstyle Creations is anders.  

Het voorpand heeft borstnepen en de striklinten zijn geïntegreerd in het voorpand.  Dit maakt dat de top mooi aansluit en dit ook blijft doen tijdens de ganse dag.  

Ik koos voor 3/4 mouwtjes, maar ook korte en lange mouwen behoren tot de mogelijkheden.

Een top top dus!

The Clara Wrap top from Greenstyle Creations is different.
The front has bust darts and the ribbons are integrated in the front. This ensures that the top fits nicely and continues to do so throughout the day.
I chose 3/4 sleeves, but short and long sleeves are also possible.
So a great top!

 zeer goed van kwaliteit.

 The fabric I used is black tricot (cotton / spandex) from Minerva and from a very good quality.

Finally a new Elle!

 Een nieuwe Elle van Sinclair Patterns, dat stond al zeer lang op mijn programma. 
Mijn vorige exemplaar is echt versleten tot op de draad.  

Deze rok zit echter zo goed dat ik eigenlijk niet anders kon dan een nieuwe te maken.

Het patroon is "een specialeke" want je kan het zowel gebruiken voor tricot als voor 

stretchkatoen als voor gewone niet rekbare katoen.

Mijn vorige exemplaar was er eentje uit jeanstricot, dus wou ik nu wel eens een katoentje proberen.

Ik vond een streelzacht satijn stretchkatoentje met een prachtige print bij De Stoffengallerij: Martha.

 

A new Elle from Sinclair Patterns, that was on my program for a long time.
My previous one is really worn to the wire. 

However, this skirt is so good that I couldn't help but make a new one.
The pattern is "a special one" because you can use it for tricot, 

stretch cotton and regular non-stretch cotton.
My previous one was made from jeans, so I wanted to try a cotton now.
I found a lovely soft satin stretch cotton with a beautiful print at De Stoffengallerij: Martha.

 Het Martha stofje is een stofje van Swafing, wat garant staat voor degelijkheid.  

Het is 140cm breed en weegt 190g/m2.  Door de samenstelling van 97% katoen en 3% elasthaan is dit stofje een ideaal stofje voor deze rok omdat het wat meegeeft als je je beweegt.

Ook een bomber of een jurk zouden een ideale match vormen. 

 The Martha fabric is a fabric from Swafing, which guarantees quality.
It is 140cm wide and has a weighth of 190g / m2. Due to the composition of 97% cotton and 3% elastane, this fabric is an ideal fabric for this skirt because it gives a bit when you move.
A bomber or a dress would also be an ideal match.

De Elle in tricot is een "pull on" exemplaar, de katoenen versie heeft een rits middenachter.

Het is eigenlijk een klassieke kokerrok, maar wel eentje om met panelen te maken, wat het natuurlijk weer iets specialer maakt.  Ik ben in ieder geval weg van mijn nieuwe rok 💕.

Deze maand zijn al de patronen van Sinclair Patterns trouwens -15%.  De korting wordt automatisch verrekend bij het afrekenen!

The Elle in tricot is a "pull on" skirt, the cotton version has a zipper at the center back.
It's actually a classic pencil skirt, but one to make with panels, which of course makes 

it a bit more special. At least I love my new skirt 💕.

The new Sofilantjes dress is here!

Ik kreeg de kans om het nieuwe patroontje van Sofilantjes te testen.

Deze keer een super leuk zomerpatroontje met 4 rugopties en 4 lengtes: De Aureum!

I had the opportunity to test the new Sofilantjes pattern.
This time a super nice summer pattern with 4 back options and 4 lengths: The Aureum!

De Aureum is een racerback patroon waarbij je de keuze hebt tussen een gewoon,

een druppelvormige, een overlappend of een u-vormig rugdeel.  

En zeg nu zelf, ze zijn stuk voor stuk prachtig!

 The Aureum is a racerback pattern where you can choose between a regular, 

a teardrop, an overlapping or a U-shaped back section.
And say it yourself, they are all beautiful!

Ook qua lengte is er keuze genoeg.  Een top?  Een tuniek?  Een jurk of een maxidress?  

Het behoort allemaal tot de mogelijkheden.

There is also plenty of choice in terms of length. 

A top? A tunic? A dress or a maxidress? It is all possible.

Dit jurkje met de overlappende rugoptie krijgt zeker nog opvolgers in andere lengtes.  Een top is ondertussen al in de maak ;-).

The Cerro Alto Jacket

Itch to Stitch lanceerde het patroon van een ronduit prachtig jasje: de Cerro alto jacket.

Een stoer vestje dat toch zeer vrouwelijk is doordat het mooi getailleerd is.   

Itch to Stitch launched the pattern of an absolutely beautiful jacket: Cerro alto jacket.  

A cool jacket that is still very feminine because it is beautifully fitted.

Ik ben helemaal gek op het voorpand met de asymmetrische rits en de prinsessennaden.   De verschillende cupmaten in het patroon zorgen bovendien voor een perfecte pasvorm.

I absolutely love the front with the asymmetrical zipper and the princess seams. 

The different cup sizes in the pattern also ensure a perfect fit.

 Verder wil ik ook nog meegeven dat de Cerro alto jacket een gevoerd jasje is.  

Dit zorgt voor de perfecte afwerking van je kledingstuk.

Als voeren iets is wat je nog nooit gedaan hebt, dan is het nu het moment om het eens 

te proberen want de instructies van Itch to Stitch zijn erg goed. 

Zeer gedetailleerd en met duidelijke lijntekeningen.  Elke stap wordt onderverdeeld in zeer veel deelstappen waardoor je moeiteloos door het hele naaiproces geloodst wordt.

If linning a jacket is something you've never done before, now is the time to try
because the instructions from Itch to Stitch are very good.
Very detailed and with clear line drawings. Each step is divided into a lot of sub-steps, so you can be guided effortlessly through the entire sewing process.

 Eén ding weet ik zeker, dit vestje zal niet vaak in de kast hangen 😉.

 One thing I know for sure,  you won't find this jacket often in my closet 😉.

Tami Revolution Double Hoodie with a clean finish

Oké ik beloof het, dit wordt echt de laatste hoodie voor dit seizoen!  Maar ik kon het echt niet laten.  Zagen jullie de prachtige Tami Revolution Double Hoodie al?  

Het is een iets ouder patroon van New Horizons Designs maar ik maakte het eigenlijk nog nooit.

 Okay I promise, this is really going to be the last hoodie for this season! But I really couldn't resist. Did you already see the beautiful Tami Revolution Double Hoodie?
It is a slightly older pattern from New Horizons Designs but I never actually made it.

Het is een patroontje met veel opties, zoals een dubbele kap, een overlappende kap, mouwboordjes met duimgaten, een ritsaccent aan de schouders,  ....

 Ik maakte de simpelste versie met een gewone kap, gewone mouwboordjes en zakken in de zijnaad.  Waarom?  

Omdat ik een prachtige glitter sweater van De Stoffengalerij 

 wilde gebruiken.  En dit stofje is al zo speciaal en prachtig op zichzelf dat ik vind dat je het patroon beter simpel kan houden.  Less is more in dit geval!

 It is a pattern with many options, such as a double hood, an overlapping hood, cuffs with thumb holes, a zipper accent on the shoulders, ...
  I made the simplest version with a regular hood, regular cuffs and pockets in the side seam. Why?
Because I wanted to use a beautiful glitter sweater from De Stoffengalerij. 

And this fabric is so special and beautiful in itself that I think it is better to keep the pattern simple. Less is more in this case!

 

 Omdat we al een beetje later op het sweater seizoen zijn en ik dus zeker een ongevoerd exemplaar wilde maken, begon ik na te denken over de binnenafwerking.  Zonder voering zie je immers altijd de zijrand van je rits en de naden in je kap.

Because we are already a bit later in the sweater season and I definitely wanted to make an unlined version, I started thinking about the interior finish. After all, without lining, you always see the side edge of your zipper and the seams in your hood.

Ik besloot dan ook mijn Tami Revolution Double Hoodie af te werken met elastische bias.

 Het stofje dat ik gebruikte is ondertussen uitverkocht.  Maar niet getreurd,

De nieuwe Lulu in een stofje van de Stoffengallerij

Een nieuw patroontje van Sinclair Patterns, daar ben ik steeds als de kippen bij.

Alleen de lijntekeningen van de Lulu faux wrap knit top, set and romper

deden me al dromen van warmere en vooral drogere lentedagen.

 A new pattern from Sinclair Patterns, I am always there like the chickens.
Only the line drawings of the Lulu faux wrap knit top, set and romper 

already made me dream of warmer and especially drier spring days.

De stof die dit patroontje nodig heeft is er eentje dat niet al te dik is en mooi doorhangt.  

Als ik deze omschrijving hoor denk ik direct aan een viscose tricootje.  

Ik koos er eentje bij De Stoffengallerij.  Het werd de donkerblauwe Tulips.

 Een enorme zachte en soepele viscose trico van Editex.

The fabric that this pattern required is one that is not too thick and has a nice drape.
When I hear this description I immediately think of a viscose jersey.
I chose one at De Stoffengallerij. It became the dark blue Tulips.
  A beautiful soft and smooth viscose trico from Editex.

Ik had veel verwacht van dit stofje en mijn verwachtingen werden volledig ingelost.  

Wat een mooie "drape"  heeft deze tulips viscose toch!

I expected a lot from this fabric and my expectations were fully met.

Het patroon en de stof bleken al een leuke match.  

Nu moest ik nog kiezen welke versie van de Lulu ik wou maken.  

Versie A: een top met lange mouwen, gefronst voorpand en wijde heupband.

Versie B:  Set van de top met 3/4 mouwen en een short.

Versie C: Mouwloze romper

Versie D: Romper met lange brok en 3/4 mouwen

Natuurlijk kan je al de opties mixen zodat je voor elke gelegenheid jouw ideale outfit kan samenstellen met dit patroon.

 The pattern and fabric turned out to be a nice match. 

Now I had to choose which version of the Lulu I wanted to make.
Version A: faux wrap top with long sleeves, gathered bodice and wide bottom band
Version B: set of a faux wrap top with 3/4 sleeves finished with a casing with elastic and mid thigh length shorts
Version C: sleeveless mid thigh length faux wrap romper
Version D: full length faux wrap romper with 3/4 sleeves
Of course you can mix all the options so that you can put together your ideal outfit for every occasion with this pattern.
