Love notions: Game on!

 Ik ben echt zo trots, want vanaf vandaag mag ik mij lid noemen van een fantastisch team:  Het Love Notions ambassadors team!

Waar zal ik beginnen?  Het patroon heef een kleine split in de naad, het achterpand is net iets langer dan het voorpand.

What makes the Game Day Jersey shirt so special?
Where shall I begin? The pattern has a small split in the seam, the back piece is slightly longer than the front piece.

Er zijn 2 halslijnen:  de ronde en de V-hals.  Ik vind ze beiden leuk maar de V is toch mijn favoriet.  Deze is trouwens helemaal niet moeilijk om te naaien aangezien de halsboord overlappend is.  Easy peasy!

There are 2 necklines: the round and the V-neck. I like them both but the V is still my favorite. By the way, it is not difficult to sew at all as the neckline is overlapping. Easy peasy!

Het voor- en achterpand zijn onderverdeeld in 2 delen.  Super leuk om te colorblocken en zo je restjes te verwerken.

The front and back are divided into 2 parts. Super fun to colorblock and sew your leftovers.

De mouwen zijn gepimpt met 2 lijnen:  tof toch?  Je kan bovendien kiezen voor korte of 3/4e mouwen.

The sleeves are pimped with 2 lines: cool, right? You can also opt for short or 3/4 sleeves.

En last but not least:  ook een jurk is in het patroon inbegrepen!  Je hoort het, deze Game Day Jersey van Love Notions is weer een toppertje: makkelijk, leuk om te naaien en met een origineel resultaat.

Hello Juno!

Met veel trots stel ik jullie het nieuwe Juno Jacket van Sinclair Patterns voor: een ritsjasje op heuplengte met een rechte of een gebogen ondernaad.

I am very proud to present to you the new Juno Jacket from Sinclair Patterns: a zip up jacket with a straight or a curved bottom.

Dit ritsvest met prinsessennaden zit enorm comfortabel en ziet er bovendien ook nog eens super uit.  

Wanneer je de zijpanelen in een andere kleur naait, zoals ik deed, heeft dit nieuwe Juno Jacket ook een leuk verslankend effect, mooi meegenomen dus ;-) !

This zip up jacket withe princess seams is very comfortable to wear and it looks so great.

By the way, if you sew the side panels in a different color, like I did, this new Juno Jacket also has a real slimming effect.  A nice bonus ;-) !

Zag je trouwens het leuke ritszakje al op het achterpand?  Hier past perfect je telefoon in!  

Wanneer je kiest voor een contrasterende rits, zorgt dit zakje ook nog eens een extra opvallend detail.

If you opt for a contrasting zipper, this bag also provides an extra nice detail.

De zijzakken kan je maken als eenvoudige zakken in de naad van het zijpaneel of als iets complexere zakken met rits.

The side pockets can be made as simple inseam pockets or as slightly more complex zip pockets.

Dit patroon komt samen met zeer gedetailleerde instructies en een volledige fototutorial, laat je dus zeker niet afschrikken om de Juno te naaien, want alles wijst zichzelf uit.

Out of my comfort zone...

 Luipaardprintjes ... je ziet ze overal, maar het was toch net iets buiten mijn comfortzone om ze zelf te dragen.
Tot Sabrina van De Stoffengalerij mij over de schreef trok om dit printje toch ook eens te proberen.

Leopard prints ... you see them everywhere, but it was just a little out of my comfort zone to wear them myself.

Until Sabrina from De Stoffengalerij  convinced me to give this print a try.

 

Het Leopard Tricot stofje van Swafing is weer echt een toppertje.  Niet alleen heel mooi en zacht, maar ook van super kwaliteit.  Ook wanneer het rekt blijft het mooi zijn kleur behouden.

Het is een redelijk stevige tricot van 220g/m2 die prima zijn vorm behoud.  

The Leopard Tricot  fabric from Swafing is again a real winner. Not only very beautiful and soft, but also of super quality. Even when it stretches, it retains its color beautifully.

It is a fairly sturdy 220g / m2 jersey that keeps its shape well.

Ik wilde de stof graag combineren met een op en top zomerse jurk en ik denk dat dat wel het minste is wat je kan zeggen van de Tank Dress 3-ways van Pattern Emporium.

I really wanted to combine the fabric with a totally summery dress and I think that's the least you can say about the Tank Dress 3-ways from Pattern Emporium.

De jurk heeft 3 verschillende rokken: een rimpelrok, een A-lijn rok en een volledige cirkelrok.  

Het aansluitende, mouwloze lijfje heeft een mooie ronde halslijn. Het is afgewerkt met een brede bias die zeer makkelijk aan te naaien is met behulp van de video instructie die opgenomen is in de handleiding.  Neem zeker eens een kijkje op de site van Pattern Emporium indien je deze jurk ook wilt naaien.

The dress has 3 different skirts: a gathered skirt, an A-line skirt and a full circle skirt.

The fitted, sleeveless bodice has a beautiful round neckline. It is finished with a wide bias that is very easy to sew on using the video instruction included in the manual.  Be sure to take a look at the Pattern Emporium site if you also want to sew this dress.
