The Sybil: a skirt with a ton of options!

Ken je de Sybil Illusion Skirt Collection van Love Notions al? 

De naam zegt het zelf.  Bij dit patroon gaat het niet om één rok maar om een hele collectie aan rokken!

Do you know the Sybil Illusion Skirt Collection from Love Notions?

The name says it all. This pattern is not about one skirt but about a whole collection of skirts!

Maar liefst 7 verschillende verschillende stijlen zijn in dit patroon inbegrepen: pencil rok, a-lijn rok, swing rok, drop yoke met swing, paneelrok, asymmetrische overslag rok en een plooirok!  Elke rok komt zowel in knie lengte als in een langere variant.

No less than 7 different styles are included in this pattern: pencil, a-line, swing, drop yoke with swing, gored, asymmetrical wrap and pleated!  Each skirt comes in both knee length and a longer version.

Het patroon heeft zakken en als tailleband kan je kiezen voor een yogaband of een tailleband met een ingebouwde corrigerende functie.

The pattern has pockets and as a waistband you can choose a yoga belt or a waistband with a built-in corrective function.

Ik maakte 2 versies van de rok.

De eerste is de drop yoke met swing.  Deze is echt mijn favoriet!  Het stofje is een super leuk katoentricootje van Swafing.  Om één geheel te maken naaide ik er een Summer basics tank

bij.  Het gefronste deeltje maakte ik door het instikken van een stukje framilon elastiek.  Dit geeft mijn ronde hals de illusie van een lichte V-hals.

I made 2 versions of the skirt.

The first is the drop yoke with swing. This one is really my favorite! The fabric is a super nice cotton jersey from Swafing. I sewed a Summer basics tank with it. I made the gathered part in the front by stitching in a piece of clear elastic. This gives my crew neck the illusion of a slight V-neckline.

Als tweede versie naaide ik de pencil rok met het asymmetrische voorpand.  Ook deze zit bijzonder goed.  Het stofje is een jeans jersey van Lillestoff uit mijn stoffencollectie.

Het topje is een verkorte versie van de Olympia dress.

As a second version I sewed the pencil skirt with the asymmetrical front piece. This one is also very good. The fabric is a jeans jersey from Lillstoff from my fabric collection.

The top is a shortened version of the Olympia dress.

Waar zal ik beginnen?  Het patroon heef een kleine split in de naad, het achterpand is net iets langer dan het voorpand.

What makes the Game Day Jersey shirt so special?
Where shall I begin? The pattern has a small split in the seam, the back piece is slightly longer than the front piece.

Er zijn 2 halslijnen:  de ronde en de V-hals.  Ik vind ze beiden leuk maar de V is toch mijn favoriet.  Deze is trouwens helemaal niet moeilijk om te naaien aangezien de halsboord overlappend is.  Easy peasy!

There are 2 necklines: the round and the V-neck. I like them both but the V is still my favorite. By the way, it is not difficult to sew at all as the neckline is overlapping. Easy peasy!

Het voor- en achterpand zijn onderverdeeld in 2 delen.  Super leuk om te colorblocken en zo je restjes te verwerken.

The front and back are divided into 2 parts. Super fun to colorblock and sew your leftovers.

De mouwen zijn gepimpt met 2 lijnen:  tof toch?  Je kan bovendien kiezen voor korte of 3/4e mouwen.

The sleeves are pimped with 2 lines: cool, right? You can also opt for short or 3/4 sleeves.

En last but not least:  ook een jurk is in het patroon inbegrepen!  Je hoort het, deze Game Day Jersey van Love Notions is weer een toppertje: makkelijk, leuk om te naaien en met een origineel resultaat.

Hello Juno!

Met veel trots stel ik jullie het nieuwe Juno Jacket van Sinclair Patterns voor: een ritsjasje op heuplengte met een rechte of een gebogen ondernaad.

I am very proud to present to you the new Juno Jacket from Sinclair Patterns: a zip up jacket with a straight or a curved bottom.

Dit ritsvest met prinsessennaden zit enorm comfortabel en ziet er bovendien ook nog eens super uit.  

Wanneer je de zijpanelen in een andere kleur naait, zoals ik deed, heeft dit nieuwe Juno Jacket ook een leuk verslankend effect, mooi meegenomen dus ;-) !

This zip up jacket withe princess seams is very comfortable to wear and it looks so great.

By the way, if you sew the side panels in a different color, like I did, this new Juno Jacket also has a real slimming effect.  A nice bonus ;-) !

Zag je trouwens het leuke ritszakje al op het achterpand?  Hier past perfect je telefoon in!  

Wanneer je kiest voor een contrasterende rits, zorgt dit zakje ook nog eens een extra opvallend detail.

De zijzakken kan je maken als eenvoudige zakken in de naad van het zijpaneel of als iets complexere zakken met rits.

The side pockets can be made as simple inseam pockets or as slightly more complex zip pockets.

Dit patroon komt samen met zeer gedetailleerde instructies en een volledige fototutorial, laat je dus zeker niet afschrikken om de Juno te naaien, want alles wijst zichzelf uit.

Out of my comfort zone...

 Luipaardprintjes ... je ziet ze overal, maar het was toch net iets buiten mijn comfortzone om ze zelf te dragen.
Tot Sabrina van De Stoffengalerij mij over de schreef trok om dit printje toch ook eens te proberen.

Leopard prints ... you see them everywhere, but it was just a little out of my comfort zone to wear them myself.

Until Sabrina from De Stoffengalerij  convinced me to give this print a try.

 

Het Leopard Tricot stofje van Swafing is weer echt een toppertje.  Niet alleen heel mooi en zacht, maar ook van super kwaliteit.  Ook wanneer het rekt blijft het mooi zijn kleur behouden.

Het is een redelijk stevige tricot van 220g/m2 die prima zijn vorm behoud.  

The Leopard Tricot  fabric from Swafing is again a real winner. Not only very beautiful and soft, but also of super quality. Even when it stretches, it retains its color beautifully.

It is a fairly sturdy 220g / m2 jersey that keeps its shape well.

Ik wilde de stof graag combineren met een op en top zomerse jurk en ik denk dat dat wel het minste is wat je kan zeggen van de Tank Dress 3-ways van Pattern Emporium.

I really wanted to combine the fabric with a totally summery dress and I think that's the least you can say about the Tank Dress 3-ways from Pattern Emporium.

De jurk heeft 3 verschillende rokken: een rimpelrok, een A-lijn rok en een volledige cirkelrok.  

Het aansluitende, mouwloze lijfje heeft een mooie ronde halslijn. Het is afgewerkt met een brede bias die zeer makkelijk aan te naaien is met behulp van de video instructie die opgenomen is in de handleiding.  Neem zeker eens een kijkje op de site van Pattern Emporium indien je deze jurk ook wilt naaien.

The dress has 3 different skirts: a gathered skirt, an A-line skirt and a full circle skirt.

The fitted, sleeveless bodice has a beautiful round neckline. It is finished with a wide bias that is very easy to sew on using the video instruction included in the manual.  Be sure to take a look at the Pattern Emporium site if you also want to sew this dress.

The Comfi Lounge Set

 Mag ik je voorstellen aan het nieuwe 2-in-1 patroon van Pattern Scout?  Het is de Comfi Lounge set.

May I introduce you to Pattern Scout's new 2-in-1 pattern? It is the Comfi Lounge set.

De Comfi T-shirt en broek zijn 2 basispatronen waarmee je veel kan variëren.  Beiden hebben 2 versies.
Bij het T-shirt kan je kiezen voor een aansluitende ronde hals of een lager uitgesneden hals.  De broek is er in een short versie met een binnenbeenmaat van 7,6 cm of in een lange, rechte, versie met 71 cm als binnenbeenmaat.

The Comfi T-shirt and pants are 2 basic patterns with which you can vary a lot. Both the T-shirt and the pants have 2 versions.
With the T-shirt you can choose a fitted round neck or a lower-cut neck. The pants are available in a short version with an inseam of 7.6 cm or in a long, straight version with an inseam of 71 cm.

A Frokkie Cozi Jacket

 Hallo lieve lezers, vandaag stel ik jullie met veel plezier mijn nieuwe Cozi jacket van Pattern Scout in een prachtig stofje van De Stoffengalerij voor. 

 

 Hello dear readers, today I am happy to present to you my new Cozi jacket from Pattern Scout  in a beautiful fabric from De Stoffengalerij.

  

Het prachtige Cozi Jacket patroon is zowel geschikt voor elastische als voor geweven stoffen.  

Ik maakte reeds een tof exemplaar van scuba (dat ik jullie trouwens nog niet liet zien 🙊) en wilde nu eens een geweven exemplaar proberen.

 

 The beautiful Cozi Jacket pattern is suitable for elastic and woven fabrics.
I made a cool one out of scuba (which I haven't shown you yet 🙊) and now I wanted to try one in a woven fabric.

 

 

 

Het roze Frokkie stofje van De Stoffengalerij was hiervoor ideaal.  Het is een middelzware stof (289g/m) van het merk Editex, perfect voor het naaien van vestjes, rokken of broeken.  

Het stofje heeft een lichte structuur, wat het een speels effect geeft, echt tof!

Ik vind de zalmroze kleur perfect passen, maar er is ook een blauwe

 en een licht gele variant. Allemaal met dezelfde prachtige structuur in de stof. 

The pink  Frokkie fabric from De Stoffengalerij was ideal for this. It is a medium weight fabric (289g / m) from the Editex brand, perfect for sewing jackets, skirts or trousers.
The fabric has a light structure, which gives it a playful effect, really cool!
I think the salmon pink color is a perfect fit, but there is also a blue one
  and a light yellow variant. All with the same beautiful structure in the fabric.

 

 

De Cozi jacket is een oversized, cropped vestje met superleuke opgestikte zakken op het voorpand.

Het is het perfecte laagjes kledingstuk dat niet in je garderobe mag ontbreken. 

Het is bovendien echt draagbaar in ontelbare situaties, van een super chique katoenen variant tot een super knus teddy exemplaar.  De mogelijkheden zijn eindeloos.

The Cozi jacket is a fun, oversized, cropped cardigan with super cute patch pockets on the front.

Het patroon voorziet 2 versies:  eentje met een kraag en eentje met een kap.  Beide versies kunnen gewoon gezoomd worden, of ze kunnen voorzien worden van een elastische band.

The pattern provides 2 versions: one with a collar and one with a hood.  Both versions can be hemmed as usual, or they can be fitted with an elastic band.

Ik ben echt gek op dit exemplaar van de Cozi Jacket.  Het prachtig roze Frokkie stofje van De Stoffengallerij  past er echt perfect bij.

The Metra blazer: looks like a blazer, feels like a sweater ...

  Een blazer die draagt als een comfy sweater, klinkt dat niet zalig?   

Love Notions maakte zo'n patroontje: de Metra Blazer.

Ik ben er echt weg van en wil dus graag mijn foto's met jullie delen 💖.

Het patroon heeft 2 kraagopties:  Een eenvoudige sjaalkraag, deze maakte ik,  

of een moderne brede reverskraag. 

De blazer heeft verder paspelzakken die super simpel te maken zijn, 

maar met een echt chique eindresultaat!

The pattern has 2 collar options: A simple shawl collar, I made this one,
or a modern wide lapel collar.
The blazer also has welt pockets that are super simple to make, but the end result looks really chic!

 

 

Ik gebruikte een leuke French Terry uit mijn stoffenvoorraad, maar elke stabiele, rekbare stof is geschikt. 

I used a cute French Terry from my fabric stash, but every stable knit fabric is suitable.

 

 

Het patroon bevat damesmaten XS -5X , verder heeft het ook een optie voor een volle buste, aanpassingen zijn dus quasi niet nodig. 

Niets dan positiefs dus over de Metra Blazer!

 The pattern contains ladies sizes XS -5X, it also has an option for a full bust, so adjustments are hardly necessary.
